Sewing 101

So I got this wild itch this weekend to figure out how to sew...once and for all! Oh my, it was so much FUN! I found an extremely old sewing maching in the back cupboard that the previous owners of our home had left behind. My mom showed me how to start her up....and off we went! I bought a book on how to make Children's Clothes and did my best to follow the patterns and instructions. I definitely should have started with something a little more basic....these aren't perfect by any means (especially the inside)....but not bad for a first try eh?!

A cutesy little skirt for Leesy Bug.

A peasant dress for Callie girl.

Silverdale Waterfront Park

The girls have been pretty under the weather these days so we've been extremely cooped up in the house, leaving only for groceries, etc. Well after about a week, cabin fever set in and we had to get out! We went for a little mini-date to the Silverdale Waterfront Park and had a really good time. It was VERY cold, but sunny, so we made the best of it.

Sweet sisters....these moments are rare, but I was lucky enough to capture two this day!

The 2nd sweet picture- walking the peer. Anneliese was ever so cautious in her "Anneliese-like-way," making sure to step over each crack "just in case" she might fall in. She was holding on to Callie's hand for dear life. Callahan on the other hand, was trying her darndest to stick her entire body through the rails. This in turn terrified Anneliese even more.  Oh my how they are ever so different!

Leesy had to sit in time out  for being unkind to her sister. I love her pose.

She's becoming such a BIG girl now. She doesn't want any help climbing the jungle gym. Tear.

Peekaboo. Callie is up there playing with the big kids. Why do they grow so fast?! :(

My sweet, sweet firstborn. I love this little girl :)

February Wagon Fun!

So this post is a little "Callie Heavy"...... but it's only because I have second baby syndrome and haven't taken nearly as many photos over all of our sweet Callie girl....and now looking back through the pictures of this day, I barely took any of Leesy Bug. Argh. Win some and lose some right?!

Who's Who?!!

Anneliese is on the left, Callie on the right. Anneliese was 20-months-old in her photo while Callie was only 15-months-old, but boy do they look similar! Those are some powerful genes!

Anneliese had a really fun time dragging Callie up and down the driveway on the sled.
