Camping at Sol Duc- July 2011

I vowed last year that I would never take Callie camping again. I caved and gave it another shot last weekend. I'm glad I did...because we had an awesome time swimming at the hot springs and hanging out with two great families. Callie redeemed herself  and we're going to give it another go next weekend with 5 more families! Wish us luck.....10 adults and 10 kids (the vast majority under the age of 4!).

Sol Duc has one chlorinated pool and three spring fed hot tubs. The girls had a really fun time running back and forth between the hot springs and the cold pool. Anneliese just recently got brave enough to swim under water.

So I got the itch to sew again....love it, love it, love it! Callahan is about to turn two next month so I decided to do a Dr. Suess themed party. I found some awesome Suess fabric at one of our local shops and went to town. Aside from a few "gathering" mishaps on the inside, I am stoked about her party dress!

It's finally warming up enough to enjoy the lake a wee bit. The girls are gaining confidence each and every day. Anneliese will start her first week of swimming lessons next week....we'll see how that goes! She told me last night that she's "a little nervous that the swim teacher might talk to her." Ummm, again, we'll just have to take this one slowly :)
